Kelly F. Zier
Mr. Zier has concentrated his practice in the areas of Criminal Prosecution, Criminal Defense, Civil Litigation, Domestic Relations, Wills, Trusts, Estates, Real Estate Transactions, and Municipal matters related to the City of North Augusta for almost 40 years. Today, his practice focuses on his duties as the City Attorney for the City of North Augusta, General Litigation, Real Estate Transactions, Domestic Relations, along with Wills, Trusts, and Estates.
Mr. Zier moved to North Augusta early in life and attended public school in the City of North Augusta, graduating from North Augusta High School in 1964. From there, he attended Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, obtaining his Bachelor of Art degree in 1968. Mr. Zier next attended the University of South Carolina, School of Law and received his Juris Doctorate in 1971. That same year, Mr. Zier returned to his hometown in North Augusta to open a private practice and serve as City Attorney.
During his time of practice, Mr. Zier has continually acted as City Attorney for North Augusta, handling matters on a civil level, advising City Council along with performing prosecution in City Court. Additionally, Mr. Zier has also maintained his private practice office since its opening in 1971, focusing on different areas of private practice. He also served for a period as an Assistant Solicitor for the Second Judicial Circuit of South Carolina. Mr. Zier is a certified Mediator and serves on various civic and public service organizations in the City of North Augusta and throughout the area.
